I live in indy. Are you a rider? Bummer of a hobby here in indiana. Very few places outside of private property to ride. Unless you got a buddy with acres who is into riding your pretty much SOL. Luckily the reptile hobby is pretty decent here with two good size local shows a month.

Did you go to the supercross? Yeah, I ride, but I race off-road so local harescrambles/enduros and hit some national enduros and GNCC stuff, and some OMA/MXC races. There's the GNCC in Crawfordsville, IN. every year and I heard they have another GNCC in Indiana this year, but I haven't looked at the schedule yet. I'll probably race the Crawfordsville round again this year, but that's not until October so who knows for sure. Ever ride at the badlands? I've never been there but I've heard mixed reviews. If you need a place to ride though, it has to be better than nothing.

Ive ridden a few times with buddies and enjoyed it. It is something id love to do more but like i said, bummer of a hobby here in indy. Badlands is the only public place i know of. I have friends who ride there but i cant justify owning a bike and a trailer and having to drive the distance to go to badlands. Plus it being such a seasonal thing, I could only see myself riding maybe 3 times a summer or so with my schedule. On top of that im self employed which has its perks but excludes health insurance for the time being. At 28 i feel a little slower and less resilient than i use to be. Probably best i stay off a bike.

LOL, I can understand that. Even if you do have coverage though, you better say you crashed on your bicycle inside a national park or you're pretty well screwed. I'm 36 and going down is definitely getting worse as time goes by. Last year at a national enduro up in Michigan I decided to keep racing even with a flat front tire and the next section was FAST and sandy. I think I was in 4th gear when I couldn't get the front end to stick turning right and when my bars clipped a tree, down I went. That was the first time I didn't just bounce right back up. I just sort of layed there in the fetal position for a second thinking DA&@ THAT HURT!!!! Getting old stinks, but if you buy a bike I bet you'll find more than 3 times a year to ride. We usually put studs in our tires and ride all winter long. If you want to race, go for it, but just getting out and having a good time with friends is a great way to relieve some stress.

Sanzinia! Safer than motorcross.
