Humidity for rosy's...

Amp Mar 12, 2011 10:35 PM

I keep my rosy boas in the same room as all of my red-tail boas. I'd like to add a humidifier to the room to raise the humidity level from 50% to 80%. Will this be a problem for my rosy boas? Is there a level of humidity that is too high for them?

Thanks,
Anthony

I would not keep rosys above 60% humidity for long periods. 40%-50% would be a safer target.

I agree. 80% is too high for extended periods.

60% is a better upper limit for rosies, with occasional increases OK as long as not for weeks or months on end.

Thanks for the input guys. I appreciate it. If I do end up adding a humidifier to the room, I'll simply move the rosy's into another room in the house. I don't want to cause them any undo stress, and I have plenty of extra cages.
