Thats nice pair. I'm getting ready to put mine together.
I posted a general question on rat snakes as to how long from mating to laying can I expect. Couldn't get an answer on it.
Funny as the post was labeled as a hot topic.
Guess what seemed a simple question wasn't so simple.
I had wintered my mandarins together last year so I really didn't record an acurate date for mating. This year I'll do better. Do you have an idea of how many days you can expect to see eggs laid assuming the mating was successful?
THanks, Mike.

Hi Mike. I can't answer that for certain yet. My female did shed yesterday, but I am not sure which of the observed breedings was the one that mattered. I have them documented though. Once I get eggs, I will keep you informed. Good luck Mike!

Shane,

Let me know if this is a successful pairing. I love these snakes and would love to get one from ya.

Got eggs today from the female. They look soft though and I'm not sure what will turn out. The earlier ones laid last night that were put in the incubator were soft too but have absorbed moisture and look better today. But they still don't look like they should. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Mike.
