Hatch Rite Incubation Medium?

cobrafan Mar 17, 2011 10:58 AM

Has anybody ever used this product with success for any kind of snake egg incubation? Any information would be appreciated. My Monocle Cobra laid eggs and it was all I had on hand at the time....1st time breeder, thought it might be good stuff but fear I should have gone the traditional water/vermiculite route. I hate to move the eggs if i don't need to, they just were laid yesterday morning so it's still early in the game though. Thanks for any advice.

I've hatch Indian Cobras and Rio Fuerte Beaded lizards on it as well as many non venomous species. It's great stuff!

Thanks for the feedback John, my albino monocle lutch was put on it too on 3/21/11...did you ever notice any fluorescent tiny, little yellow/green spots on yours during the incubation process? Do you use an incubator and do you put your eggs in plastic deli cups? Thanks,
Drew.
