Does anyone here know of recent (or any...) care sheets for Boelens pythons? All I've been able to find seem to be dated before the import of captive hatched/bred.
Thanks in advance,
Dan

Ari & Kelly,
Thanks so much! Just what I needed.
Dan.
Glad to help!
Again, thanks to the both of ya!
I purchased a male CB (supposedly) from stock in Indonesia having done what I thought was good research on the species. But delving further into it's captive care since, I find a disconserting variance in opinions from different keepers. Some say EASY to keep. Some say very difficult. Care sheets differ
way too much.
Guess I'll just treat them as Diamonds.
Thanks again,
Dan.
Dan, Boelens are very easy to keep. As long as you given them the proper requirement that they are needing.
Ari
The inconsistencies you have encountered in the literature are usually based on whether you are working with wild-caught specimens or captive born. Acclimating wild caught boeleni can be very challenging, while captive born typically do quite well with very few issues. The most common mistake many keepers make is keeping the ambient background temps too high and/or humidity too low.

Again, thanx for your combined advice. I'm satisfied his conditions are in order but will give a big sigh of relief when he eats. Trying a rat scented ft mouse tonight.
Dan.
Yahoo! He's eating that rat scented mouse!!
