NOW THAT'S FUNNY. I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE!
I haven't seen this with sandboas but I know that pigment changes happen with several other species. I personally about 15 years ago had a sub-adult ball python change from the standard normal looking to black and white, where the gold-ish color would be, it turned to pure white with a shed. Under certain conditions and whatever else pigment changes happen; not genetic though.
At the time I visited Peter Kahls facility and showed him the pictures as well as speaking with Dave and Tracy about it.
Just something that seems to happen, ask David Barker about it, he probably would have the best explanation of how and why it occurs.
