Was watering plants when I heard a rattle. There were so many dried leaves that from the sound I really expected to see a rattlesnake, but was happy enough to see this racer. Managed to get it in hand with no strikes, got a couple pics of it with phone camera (this is the best one) and let it down. It took off and I was impressed I never got struck at. Cool snakes and I love seeing them around (I'm in West Central Florida).
