Skinny Corn Snake

Stefaniebadass Mar 26, 2011 09:18 PM

My juvenile corn snake just ate 6 days ago but i thought he was acting strangely then. Now today he wont eat and he is looking ribby. I'm quite worried about him and i do not know why he is acting and looking this way. Ive had him for over three months now and hes always had a very active appetite. Help!

He at 6 days ago. Has he refused his current feeding? Normally one missed feeding is not a concern, however if you are saying he looks "ribby" then he may but significantly underweight to begin with. Perhaps he's ill, perhaps the previous feeding regimen was not correct. Nonetheless, if you are worried that he is loosing weight, and he's NOT eating, then a vet is a good idea. If he's still eating, then feed him either more often, larger prey, or a combination of the two.

A photo of the snake may help us help you,
