They've proven to be one of, if not the, most mellow one out of all the crotalids I had. Now my Atrox on the other hand...not so much.

Wow thats a suprise. My WDB is by far the calmest rattlesnake I have ever seen. I havent had a lot of them. Mostly prairies and hopis. And they are just mean and nasty all the time. Do you have any molossus?

No. I live in California. But I can't complain too much...that still leaves quite a few here that I can still enjoy. Cerastes, Ruber, Atrox, Scutalatus, Mitcheli Pyhrrus & Stephensi, Oreganus, and Helleri. I think thats about it. Rubers, Pyhrrus and Cerastes are without a doubt my favorites.
I do like the look of the Black Tail but I've never seen one in person.
