I cought this snake in my dads back yard. I know it's a king snake and I know it's not a type that lives around her. We live in Las Vegas, NV. The pet shop said it was probably some ones that got away. Thanks.

Yes, that's most DEFINITELY a man-made escapee thayeri cross that you found. There is no question whatsoever that it is a non-indigenous snake that isn't native to your area.
