some pics from yesterday S.Mississippi..

We went out yesterday and it was one of those "can't decide what the weather wants to do" days, was chilly and overcast, but still managed to get a couple of pics....

Here is a cottonmouth that I spotted on our way to the spot, believe it or not, the snake is actually around 4ft! I just left the pic like this to show how well hidden a snake that large can be....

here is a cute southern toad, unfortunately I have yet to get a hognose, so he was photo'd and on his way, lol, sorry about the blurry pic, my phone isn't the best sometimes...

a watersnake found under a board, very irritated to be found, thus the holding of the head, he was in full shed..

and finally, a very cool mushroom, I have no idea of the species, there are just so many neats fungi around here, i couldn't resist..

Cool stuff! Love the cottonmouth.

That mushroom looks to be a member of Strophariaceae. Maybe a Psilocybe sp.....
