Harrison's Mash??

jilmarieaz Apr 11, 2011 12:33 PM

Has anyone used harrisons mash or superfine pellets for an additional uro supplement? I had a bunch for my birds so gave my malis a small dish and seems to loves it. Any studies on the optional requirements on uros?

The breakdown on % seems very good and they have 2 versions with a higher and lower protein content. I'll post a picture of the breakdown. I use this product a lot in my practice for birds and like the quality control of the company so thinking of adding it in for my uros. Any thoughts?

Careful giving it dry food...! It can cause severe dehydration when the gut pulls out water to digest it...especially if your Uro hasn't been eating a lot of greens.

Makes sense if dehydrated but if otherwise healthy I've always kept a dish of ground lentils in cage....

That's why you wanna give fresh veggies everyday...in case they are thirsty....
