Compact UV Bulbs

evolady73 Apr 12, 2011 01:49 PM

I am trying to find people who have successfully used the compact uv bulbs and if they researched them. I am changing out my light fixtures and am looking at all possibilities. Also, I am getting rid of my heat emitters and am thinking radiant heat panels with a thermostat might be the way to go. What does everyone think?

hello, cant comment on the cfl's, dont know anything about lighting but the radiant heat panels are definetly the way to go wether as a basking heater or on a thermostat in the hide. I've used them for about four years now and am kicking myself I didnt use them sooner. Not only more reliable but more natural, doesnt "burn" the air and dry everything out(including the torts)

Thanks for the reply! I don't get a lot of feedback from here. I am definitely getting the heat panels and still researching the UV Lights.
