After not eating since around the middle of October my LTC male coachwhip finally ate a FT large mouse. He is always the last of my snakes to eat followed only by my male Zonata which has only eaten one fuzzy since last fall.

In nature males eat last so females can attain weight for egg development. My male eats like mad for 5 months a year, female eats for 6 months. They don't lose weight in winter. If they don't eat they arn't feeling secure enough and may need deeper beeding 3" is good and a big cage with a big hide box.
