Don't hold your breath-not only is it early, but the trans-Pecos is experiencing near record heat and drought at the moment.I'm just praying for rain before our early June excursion! If not I'll probably spend my time photographing birds and landscapes

No, no predictable monsoon here. Given average weather conditions, the best time to schedule a trip is during the dark of the moon anytime from May to October.
