Anything wrong with giving my baby rhino a bath first thing in the morning when he's half asleep . If i pick him up while he's half asleep he does not freak out or try to bite me and i don't have to chase him around the cage , also when i put him back in his cage his breathing closer to normal , then when he's been running around .

Thanks !!

Bath or soak , i though it was good idea to help them shed ? Also i though it would be less stressful , without him running around . Its not for me , not sure why you asked ??? Dangs you guys sure know how to make someone feel stupid . soory not a pro like some of you ,I will not bother you guys anymore !!

Dont worry robert.. and dont take it personal.. some may use harsher language than others.. but thats because over the years we have all seen so much stupid things people have done to their animals so that our tolerance level is about zero for most us.. we have all been beginners at some point.. and are all still learning..

Back to your Q...cyclura do not need help shedding if they have enough humidity and good nutrition. if you want to give it a bath then just put a bigger water bowl inside the cage..
stress free.

*Cheers and good luck!

Robert, its all about your lizard, its not personal. You are asking questions and thats good. If you were bothering us no one would answer and if you noticed I have answered all your posts. Im not gonna waste my time just to make you look bad thats not my intention. Heres the key, you have to work on your husbandry, WE all do, its a constant refinement. Try to approach things as your ig would. The iguana knows what to do, they are the "pros", its your job to provide the environment so it can thrive. If your humidity is correct your ig never has to touch water unless it wants to. there are no tubs in the DR!
The way I read your post was you want to put your lizard in the tub, cuz your humidity is off and you want to do it early so you dont have to work at over coming the resistance the little rhino will put up. I wasnt the only one. Extreme' is right your questions are not new, we try to help those who are seeking help and we "pros" often disagree or offer options. Some dont do their homework and want to be spoon fed the answers and some get mad at the answers they get and leave even though they asked the question. Some stay around... No one here is a pro, but some have been refining their husbandry for a long time and can help you.
