Applegate Specials - no blacks-whatever

Rick Staub Apr 19, 2011 10:59 AM

Building off of Shannon's post below. Here are some Applegate specials. To me they have a very knob-like head though the line supposedly originated from the Santa Rita Mtns.

The father. I only have a het adult female.

A hatchling from last year.

Rick, those are very nice looking. The head shape in the first pic does look knob like.

Rick Staub Apr 20, 2011 11:23 AM

Thanks. It may just be that without the black the white is further down the head and bleeds into the eyes as it does on the knobs. I like the look. I have a wc pyro from the Chiricahuan Mtns that has the same look. Here he is in a terrible pic

the one in the last picture is stunning. excellent snakes

Thanks. Same snake in the last 2 pics, just different lighting. The black background works well for making the snake pop.

Yeah, if they had some side markings instead of bands I would have to wonder myself.
They are very closley related so its not a big surprise to me that there heads look alike at times.
Here are my f1 breeders from San Juanito.

here is a pic of the candycane with her father and brother.

Nice. The candycane really looks hypo in that pic. I think even lighter in color than I have seen in the Applegate line.
