Hello all, looking to get some feedback to the substrate everyone uses for the gila's or mexican beadeds that works well for easy spotting feces and is ok for if they ingest any when feeding.

I use shredded aspen purchased from 'fleet farm'.

News paper. Used to use river rock 1" or so in diameter in my display cage. What a pain to maintain! Looked great though!

I use a mix with success.
It is humus for tarantulas repti sand rabbit substrate.
