I never knew

Linda G Apr 23, 2011 06:37 PM

that small box turtles could eat so much! My little one eats more than my adult. Is there any chance of overfeeding with the little ones? She does eat a variety though which is good. For instance this morning she had turnip greens, parsnip, stawberries, and a dash of crushed milk bone along with two worms. I gave her an amount that is the same size as she is and most of it was eaten throughout the day.

Thanks,
Linda

Turtles always eat.... Like I said: I've never met one that didn't like to eat, unless it's was sick. They say turtle will overeat like dogs and humans.

You know...? I think the carb really helps with their metabolism.... It gives it fuel and in turn helps with the hormonal balance, which helps with growth and healthier animals....
