We have a little tripod lewisi hybrid joining our family tomorrow. Right now he is only about 19 inches long and he has no problems getting around. He is missing part of his right front arm.

Does anyone have experience with an iggy with a missing leg and what problems he might incur as he grows?

Thanks,

Susan

I didn't realize Walter was missing part of his leg. I did, however, shoot an email over to Mr. Binns, after Desiree Wong suggested the same thing, and hope to hear back from him. Thank you.

Well, that's terrible. And here I was hoping he could play in the Lizard Open....

It will be fine. I have seen ones living normal lives in the wild missing front arms. I have a baby cuban from a store around me that lost an arm from a cagemate. I will probobly give it away to someone on this forum if they live in south florida or want to pay shipping.

Here he is. He's amazingly calm considering he just came out of the box from being shipped. I mean he's feisty enough that I'm not worried, but he's calmer than I would have expected. He's settling in. He's a bit jumpy at all the new sounds and, as you can see, he did bump his nose. However, now that he is off by himself, I think, that he picked at the greens I gave him and he has already pooped. I snapped a few pictures, but mostly I'm trying to leave him alone. I did hold Kismet while in his line of vision and he seemed quite curious about that.

I imagine I should do a full 30 day quarantine though, right?
