Is 14 a large alterna clutch?

mrkent Apr 29, 2011 07:57 PM

The female is a generic '08, and the male is a Hwy 349 (Robert Palaez stock) '08.

She laid these on Tuesday.

Thanks, that is helpful. I must have read that last fall, since I posted a question right before it!

I am hopefull to get a good hatch rate from these, but time will tell.

Yes I would say 14 is a large clutch, especially if all of them are fertile. My alterna usually lay 6 to 10 eggs. If I recall correctly the most live, healthy hatchlings I have gotten from one clutch was 10 out of 10 and they were Langtry's.

This is my first time to breed alternas, so I am pretty excited about these. They all look fertile to me.
