Here is a very shy and pretty old eastern box turtle, can't really take credit that much, he found me more than I found him, lol....

How about a mississippi ringneck....(was let go afterwards,phone was dead and couldn't get a pic in the field)

sorry, not much happening here in mississippi, hopefully will have more finds and pics later on...

On the other end of the spectrum:

newborn(probably from last fall) Eastern box turtle from Oconee County, SC!

I used to have one that a lady found in her yard, it looked like a little beetle!

They are definitely small and difficult to spot. There is little knowledge on the hatchlings of this species due to their small size. I barely spotted this little guy near some logs.
