Siren intermedia texana (more)

Here's some stuff I saw while working the last couple of days near Brownsville.
.
Rana berlandieri
.

.
.. a nice mature Drymarchon (with an expressive tongue).
.

.

.
Drymobius margaretiferus .. it practically disappears in the full sunlight on that mat of dead grass..
.

.

.
.. and look at this.. Siren intermedia from one of the water runs. Between 14 and 15 inches in length.
.

.
There were several other snakes seen, only this ribbon snake wanted it's picture taken..
.

.
Neat stuff.

I'll refrain from commenting on the margaretiferus... you know how much I appreciate the photos of them... the siren is another really nice find... really appreciate the postings of what you get to see down there.

Do you ever encounter Reticulate Collared Lizards in your travels?
