handling my new baby red

he is about 2 months old, ive had im in his cage for about 3 days now, holding him at the store was really easy and he was really chill but i try to interact with him here and there and he is really figity and runs alot. should i let him be for about a week, or just try to just hold him in his cage.

any help would be great!

This forum here is OK, but doesn't get nearly as many tegu enthusiasts as it does ball python or boa enthusiasts.

I'd head over to tegutalk and get all the advice you could possibly need...

get him her used to your smell with a well worn funky t-shirt or even a pair of socks placed into the lizards living quarters. And just put your hand into cage and let your pressense be known in the cage every day by stroking and petting , not neccesarily by picking it up
