Nostril stuck shed

MightyBD May 16, 2011 10:13 PM

Hello.
I have a 20 inch 550-600g female, healthy and about 3-4 years old.
A few weeks ago she shed around her face, and her nostrils are still blocked with what appears to be dead skin.
I have soaked her, and well thats the only thing I can think of to help remove it.
Any ideas? Is this alright, will they come out on their own....
Thanks

is she breathing normally? If so I wouldn't worry about it. Eventually it will fall off. If she tends to breath more from her mouth may need to carefully remove the dead skin. Add a little mineral oil with a Q-tip to soften the skin (be careful not to get any into the nose, you don't want the dragon inhaling it inside). Once it has a chance to soak in, carefully remove the dead skin with tweezers.

Or ... use (very carefully !!!! a "scaler" to remove the old skin.
