I went out this morning to get away from the crowd here at Myrtle Beach. It's black biker week and things are crazy down here. It's been almost 2 years since I've seen a live timber rattlesnake(some call them canebrakes, I think they're all timbers). Found this one while flipping some tin. It saw me long before I saw it, but I was able to keep it from escaping into another big tin pile just in time. Horry County, South Carolina.
