Zilla Combo-Light: replace starter??

Esther May 30, 2011 09:30 PM

The combo-light on one of my tanks has a fluorescent tube which suddenly only lights at the ends. I tested the bulb in another unit and it works fine. Could this be a bad starter, and where the HECK is the starter on this type of light fixture? On regular fish lights, it's obvious where it is and I know you just push and unscrew it. On the Zilla (formerly ESU) light, I don't see any starter.

HELP!!

you should contact zilla, hopefully its a starter and not a ballast. im not sure how those particular lights are set up. if it were me "I" would just take it apart and try and fix it, not everyone is like me though...lol

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Check to make sure the bulbs aren't T8 going into a T12 fixture.
