housing dumerils of different sizes

pastorj Jun 09, 2011 02:38 PM

looking at getting a dumeril trio. i have a small dumeril.
looking at getting a large female.
question....good economic housing for the 6 ft. dumeril and what heating source?
Can i house 3 dumerils together? do they need to be similar sizes?
Also, what are good prices for dumerils?
thanks "J"

Dums can be cannibalistic so unless they are bascially the same size or it's breeding season, you shouldn't house them together. Even when they are the same size i'd be careful... (see it done with no problems, but i wouldn't do it)

good caging for them imo are the Boaphile line of cages. thats what i'm using for my dums, balls, and argentine boas. they are great quality, stackable, and fairly easy to clean.

as far as prices... they are all over the place. i've seen babies for 85 and gorgeous pink adults for 400ish. depending on size, i'd say 100 - 300 is a fair price for normals.
