Red sided garter snake

mrkent Jun 11, 2011 11:49 PM

Found this concinnus a couple of days ago while walking on the edge of a field in Clark County Washington. He is probably one of the prettier ones I have seen, and I was able to get some pics before sending him on his way.

I zoomed in the second picture and like the way it shows his keeled scales.

Actually, that's a Red-Spotted not Red-Sided.

You are right, and that is what I meant to say. I was very happy to see him as most of the garters I have seen were not as colorful.
