How often should we see eggs?

BillynJennifer Jun 14, 2011 06:03 PM

2 or 3 females stay in 1 cage, as well as 2 males staying in another cage. The 5 would only meet up during mating times. With a possiblity of there being two or three pregnant females at the same time, would that cause problems between the females? Also, I know that a female Leopard Gecko can only lay between 1 or 2 eggs tops each time. How much time is there between their first laying until the time that they lay the eggs?

Thanks Billy

HI, I have a few females in a 40 gallon breeder tank with the male and the only problem I sometimes have is figuring WHO layed the eggs, lol. I have to find all the females and see who layed. And if they lay at the same time,,,,, well ya just have to wait and see what hatches, ,,,, lol.

They can lay every 2- 4 weeks. Most commonly 2 eggs each time. Although I have one female that only lays one egg. They do not need to mate again to lay. They retain sperm.
