I have never seen a clutch. Their enclosure is outdoors and I have never looked for eggs. This was a total surprise. The way the enclosure is set up, babies can crawl away should they ever be any. I do not want to break any laws here in NC. They are illegal to sell, and you can only have a certain number. I don't really want much human contact with any babies. I am going to close off a section for this baby just to make sure it gets a good start.

That turtle is going to be a looker! BTW-feed hatchlings small insects-not whole cherry tomatoes In a few months offer cut up fruits and veggies. More info on hatchling care at my website if you are interested.

Thanks for the info. Just for your records, when we found this baby, it had its head buried in a cherry tomatoe.
