Roundtail Horned Lizard

tool_u2 Jun 24, 2011 09:27 AM

Hiking around southern New Mexico earlier this year and found this guy. I'm not from the west but I keyed it out as a roundtail horned lizard (P. modestum). Can I get any concurrence? I was in the Chihuahuan Desert approximately 15 mi west of Las Cruces. Enjoy!

looks like modestum. It doesn't look like anything else from that range.
