Dan,

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. You are the master of Macro photography on this Forum. And only getting better, too...
Love the spadefoots!
With the drought I'm having here in Central/Northern Texas, herping has been a bit difficult. I did come across a huge Soft-shell turtle last thursday. And of course, I left my uncharged camera at home. Too bad, I think this was a Lifer, a Smooth Softshell. Been seeing lots of turtles, ironically given the drought.

Thanks,
Matt

Thanks a lot Matt!

Thats cool you're seeing turtles, I cant find any. About half of the spots I herp in are under water, the flooding is the worst I've ever seen here. There is just too much water for the turtles to be out in for me to see any.

Well, here we have been dealt drought, heatwave, and not to forget, wildfires.
Some of your rain could be used down here, so if you fel you have TOO much, see if you could arrange to send some my way.
I'm surprised I've seen ANYTHNG, Dan. Even the greensnake I saw awhile back shocked me. I'd thought everything would be estivating. At least we aren't in the extreme drought area, but it not far away.
Hopefully, stuff will continue to be on the move.
And I won't get laid up, like last summer. That woud be a major bummer. Even a poor field season beats a NON Season!

Thanks,
Matt

nice! It's been too damn hot to field herp. It's 1045 here and still over 90 degrees. Those are some awesome animals, and cute kid

We wouldn't have 6 and a half billion people if you had to be beautiful to get laid.

Thanks Gerry!

As soon as I have the time I'll be doing a post you are going to love. It will have tons of wild flowers. I've never seen so many different kinds here as this year, pretty cool.
