HIGH yellow beaded lizard

gila91 Jun 30, 2011 04:46 PM

This is a 2011 high yellow H. h. exasperatum I picked up from my good friend Steve Angeli. The yellow pigment is starting to fill in really well, and will only get better as it grows. Can't wait to see how it develops!

Hello,

This cream-yellow is a great coloration. I watch again and again the yellow of the rear legs which continue to the vental area. I wish the best.

P.S.
I bought before 3 weeks 2 specimens with similar pattern and color in Europe. The photos are here.
They where born on Jan and Feb 2011. I suspect that they may be from the same parents because the Austrian reseller purchesed them from USA breeder. Parents where about 12 yo. There were 9 reproductive females. Can you verify? If so, they may be same or parental cluches.

Thanks and regards.

Thanks! The cream color will become more yellow as it matures. It will also develop more yellow as it grows. If your friend got his animals from Steve its possible they are related. However, Steve has over 40 breeders from a wide variety of different bloodlines so its hard to say. Steve assigns numbers to each animal he sells that tells him what animals the parents are. If your friend has those numbers I could find out from Steve if yours and mine are related.

Hello,

we chatted months before, about the coloration of your beaded lizards.

So, how your puppies look like today? Unfortunately, my lizards lost the high yellow coloration and developed darker spots.

Here I have an Octomber video:

I will have to get some updated pictures, but he looks great.

Beautiful lil'lizard, I have several Steve's "high yellow" animals and they have all grown up to be screamers. My first generation offspring with his animals have some unbeleivable looks too as they grow up. I kept all four! lol

I have a group of Rios on a breeding loan that are "Extreme Yellow". No jokes, this is an unbeleivable line to my knowledge not in public populations yet. I have some the best "high yellow" animals money can buy from Steve but these extreme yellow animals have at least twice the color. Some the animals have almost no black and yellow on just about every bead with a dark brown background...I'm trying to hype them up as much as possible before I even show pictures! free enterprise ya know lol...I have at least three or four pairings these animals with my lizards this season so when I get fertile eggs cooking I may have to show off the parents. If not hope next spring I'm gonna be proud to show off my own brand new blood line of sorts.

Got two clutches good banded gila eggs this season! Probably jinxin myself but this season went like clockwork for me.

peace

The thing I like about this individual, and others like it that I have seen, are the particularly large yellow blotches. I personally prefer that to an extensive multitude of small blotches. I will be pairing this animal with another unrelated animal I have who's sibling had even more extensive large blotches that created an almost web like pattern. It will be very interesting to see what comes out of that cross (assuming all goes well).

From your description, the animals you are working with sound great, we just need to see pics...

Sounds like a solid breeding goal bro. I'm excited to see custom genetic variations evolve in captive heloderms in the future. The patterns n colors on both my beadeds n gilas just blow me away. It was also very reassuring to me that my first offspring from the high end Angeli stock is so high quality.

Man I bet everyone would just love to see these "Extreme Yellow" animals of my project but for now you'll just have to imagine n dream I guess. Save your change! he he Pictures will be available when they hit the market. Not long before. Sorry

Peace
