I know alot of people here are breeders and use tubs, etc. What I would like to know, for those who have "pets" and display the snakes; what size cage is good for an adult? I have looked at 20L and don't want to buy anything they will grow out of.
Thanks,
Vicki

Hi Vicki -- A 20 L fish tank will be good for most smaller kings and milks (pyros, mex-mex, thayeri, pueblans, sinaloans, etc.) and even smaller - juvenile to young adult - corns and L.g. ssp. However, some corns and kings reach an adult size (e.g., corns, rat snakes, L.g.floridana, -brooksi, -goini, -getula) that make a 20 L a bit too cramped, especially height-wise.

BTW, how is the 2010 male msp thayeri you got from me doing? He had such great head markings. I'd love it if you can post a pic. Take care,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the advice. Atticus is doing great. I love holding him, etc. He is still very pretty and I'll have someone help me get a good photo. My female (Mariska) from Maria H. is beautiful but still tries to get away and does excrete on me when she can.

I keep telling myself no more but am so looking forward to seeing what you and the rest of the gang produce. I might need some more cages handy. I am so weak....
