Hi! And big Baby Boy pic

rosebuds Jul 02, 2011 10:43 AM

Hey yall,
I haven't posted much in awhile, but I am still on the planet and still have a bunch of precious chuck buddies! I am trying to take more pics when I have time, but do have one to share today. This is Baby Boy, not so baby anymore! lol He is a white back that I got from Nick and Austin Dokai the year of Ike. 2008? We knew he was going to be big, but man is he! I could not find my tape measure so I don't know exactly how long he is, but I think he is at least 18, maybe close to 20 inches.

Nice shot and a nice chuck! I just got my first today and looking for any hints about care from those who've actually "done it". I posted on the general lizard forum, seems there's not too much action here.

Here is a link to a great care sheet and if you have any specific questions don't be afraid to ask. Someone will always answer if you need help. Post pics if you can!

What a handsome boy! And what a monster. I believe CA has some locales with the biggest chucks I have ever seen.

Very nice, Donna!
It sounded like he was going to be a big boy, when you told us about how fast he was growing the first year. Just like his dad. It will be interesting to see how his color changes over the next few years.
Glad to see you are still around. We haven't been posting much lately either. We've had a couple quiet seasons with the lizards, and been busy with other aspects of our life. Do you still have a lot of collareds?

Here's a picture of Dad, though you can't really judge his size in this pic.

Hey Donna! You woke up the forum lurkers! LOL Good to see you all are still out there. Lurking has been lonely business. That Baby Boy is a whopper!!!!

Hey Tom, Nick and Austin, and Maureen! Yes, he is a big boy and very sweet toward me. Not so much with strangers. lol His brother, Oliver is big too, but not quite as big. I will try to take some pics of him, and the girls soon as well. All my chucks are doing great! One of those Box canyon rescues is almost as big and is gorgeous! But he is an old guy. lol Tom, that foot guy that you sent me to rehab is a TUB! lol and very handsome! Need to get a pic of him too. He doesn't miss that missing part of his foot at all and it is completely healed.

Nick, yes I do still have collareds too, and lots of other things. I did not breed the collards this year, but one pair of yellow heads that I have had for 2-3 years and never bred, finally did. I do have three little eggs cooking from them, but took the year off otherwise.

I miss you guys! I will try to get more pics soon. Hope yall are doing well!
