I am trying to find a small lizard or gecko that can be handled a little and that can also live in a 12x12x12 zoo med cage. I do not want a anole. Also it going to go to a 14 year old. Thanks again.

Off the top of my head, there's not a lot of lizards that can live comfortable in that small of a cage AND be relatively handleable.

Most tiny little lizards are fast and flighty, and will squirm vigorously. Certainly not "puppy dog" tame like a bearded dragon or leopard gecko.

In fact, the only species I can think of that WILL fare well in a 12x12x12 is a Mediterranean gecko. Anything else will require more space. And like I said, Med~ geckos are squirmy and will bolt from your hand as soon as they can. Not handleable in my opinion.

Thanks for the info. I just put a baby dwarf day gecko in the cage that's for looks only.
