All these pictures came from Richland County, South Carolina today (July 4th):

Some kind of spider consuming a dragon fly.

Rough green snake, found crawling on a cane plant.

Timber Rattlesnake, found in situ amidst some fallen logs. Second horridus of the year!!

the spider is Nephila clavipes Golden Silk Orbweaver. Salamander looks like a Desmognathus of sorts. Maybe a seal or dusky?
