First time for me with this species (The short incubation period really surprised me) can anyone give me some tips on getting them feeding are they pretty good taking rodents as the name implies or will they need to be scented/fed other prey and switched over later? Thx in advance

I bred my Koreans for the first time last year and was also surprised by the short incubation time (45 days or so?). Unfortunately the only albino died in the egg...

The hatchlings presented absolutely no problems feeding on mice. They come out of the egg pretty big and took large pinks without hesitation after their first shed.

glad to know getting them started feeding shouldn't be a problem. Last year i lost every one of the eggs this year 100% hatch rate, incubated at 86 degrees this year which is hotter than i would normally incubate colubrids at but doing a small experiment this year.

i decided to try to feed pre-first shed. Three out of the eight took a meal within 24-48 hours of hatching, that bodes well for the rest of the group.
