Flavia Guimaraes Jul 12, 2011 02:34 PM

Well, i purchased 3 years ago a black and white female tegus. She is doing fine.Hibernates seven months a year but apart from that she looks fine. Now im buying a 9 months old red tegus.Dont know wether is a male or female. My main question is: May i keep both together?I ve seen photos of tegus kept together, living in perfect harmony. Is that possible?

Guys remember I told you i bought a second tegus, a baby red? And remember I told you i was afraid of puting both together?

Well concerning the baby tegus it was love at first sight! The first time it saw her it started to follow her around trying to lick her.She also was kind to the baby.Well today the baby escaped from his cage.I loooked for it everywhere but I could not find it.Finally I found the baby.Guess where it was hidden? It was sleeping under my adult female arms!!She was sleeping and it went under her arms to sleep with her!!!He adores her!!!

Im raising lizards for eleven years now and I never saw sign of tenderness among lizards.Mainly when both dont belong to the same family. tegus are very special indeed!
