Anyone know where to get some cheap rodent pellets/blocks?
I have been using pur i na dog food and it seems to be working great. Most of my females are having at least 12 babys. Even on there first round of babys. A fifty pound bag is only 20 dollars at the big stores. Substrate used is aspen from large pet chain 12 dollars. Any better deals or thoughts

mice in my opinion don't do well over the long haul with dog food. rats on the other hand do fantastic. i was using sunseed critter cubes when i had mice. here it was 27 dollars for i believe a 40lbs bag. cheapest i could find in my part of the woods.

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Find a local feed store or Tractor Supply store. I buy huge bags of pine shavings for 6 bucks and a 40 pound bag of sow/pig feed for 13 bucks. my mice and rats eat it up like no tomorrow and I get lots of babies every month as well

Never thought of that! What is in pig feed? Is it a pellet, or a mix of stuff?

It is a pellet food. I would have to look at the bag again once at home and see the ingrediants. It works very well for me and is rather inexpensive. I get large batches of healthy pinks from all females on a consistant basis.
