Barrons racer breeding

dillonGooder Jul 21, 2011 04:51 PM

i was wondering if anyone could help me out. i am going to start breeding barons racers and i was wondering if anyone could share some info with me like the weight and age that the snakes should be at to safely breed them, the temperature of the tank, temperature of the incubator, how many eggs, should i look out for cannibalism, how should i cycle out and resting the snakes, and feeding during breeding season. if you can think of anything else that would help me please tell me, that would be great.
thanks

I just put mine into brumation in the high 50s for 3 months. The females had been taking 3-4 adult mice a week. I gave them 2-3 weeks without food and then put them into brumation. This is optional but I'm aiming for higher fertility rates. Last year only four eggs were fertile. Two hatched after incubating at 82F. The babies took two unscented pinkies without hesitation.
