Wow, what a snake! Daniel, if you read this, what's the story on her? Thanks!
I actually have the snake now.
She was found in FL back in April, a friend of the person who caught it emailed me pictures of it then, he said they were going to keep it to breed. I guess they had trouble getting the snake to eat, so Daniel ended up with her, and he got her feeding on bullfrog tadpoles.
She's got very good body weight, definitely a healthy snake. I don't really consider her "whitesided" though, if she is a morph I think she's the same morph as the Palmetto corn snake that is going to be for sale for the first time this year... The snake is mainly white but has some flecks of it's actual pattern. Probably a form of piebald.

Thanks, Mike! I'm guessing you plan on breeding her? Is she eating other items now? I'm a huge fan of watersnakes, but they're a bit more work than I can handle now. Thanks again.
I hear ya, when I was first contacted about the snake in April I was asked if I would be interested in her, and I had zero interest in taking on water snakes at the time because I had just decided to focus on milk snakes. But the water snakes will be a change of pace, hopefully she'll breed next spring, she's going to be housed with a male year round once I get her feeding consistently.
I haven't decided yet if I plan to keep her on the bullfrog tadpole diet for a while, or try f/t shiners or attempt to switch her over to rodents. She's still adjusting to her new home I haven't bothered her with food as of yet.

Sounds cool!! Any pics? Jeff
Yup..
She's the only snake that I have set up on display, she has a 40 gallon tank to herself, a hidebox buried under the substrate that she fits quite snug into, and a water bowl big enough for her to hang out in all day. As soon as I throw tadpoles into her waterbowl she'll come out investigating, and will easily take down 8 of em' a day if I let her.
