Elusive Rosy Morphs - Pink and Purple???

sstephenson Jul 25, 2011 06:11 PM

This weekend I had the opportunity to speak with a fellow Rosy and Kenyan enthusiast so that we could swap some Kenyan babies. She reminded me of something that I had read some time ago about a purple rosy boa. In searching through some posts from 2005, I came across a post referring to a purple rosy color morph. Since I didn't see any photos, I have no idea what they looked like. Based on the information in the posts, it sounded like the morph resulted from a cross between a Whitewater albino and an L. trivirgata trivirgata from a locality that was not named. Does anyone have any additional information on this morph? I'd love to see some photos.

Interestingly enough, in my search for the purple rosy, I came across some photos of a "cotton candy" pink snake. Based on the very limited info that I found, it sounded like a pair of the pink snakes didn't survive long. Any info on the pink snakes would be much appreciated as well. Thanks.

Steve

I'd ask your question on localityrosys forum instead of here...I think there have been posts on it in the past.

Thanks JC. I'll give that a try.

The rosy you are asking about was purple. It was from a breeding that Tracy Barker did by breeding a WW amel to a Mexican Triv triv and then breeding the offspring back to get the amels ww x Mexican boas.
