Found this deep in Costa Rica jungle

igren Jul 30, 2011 07:09 AM

Hiked about 8 miles into the jungle in Costa Rica and found this. Im not sure if its a frog or a toad and no park employees or guides were able to tell me what it is. Id say it was about 1" to 2". I heard that some real experts lurk these forums and might be able to tell me.

Thanks!

I believe this is what you may have found.

Not even in the same genera. It is a toad, which species exactly I'm not sure as I'm not up on all of the leaf litter species. Post it over on the field herp forum, the real big wigs hang out there http://www.fieldherpforum.com/forum/
