heat light vs ceramic heater

Please share your opinions on which is best to use a heat light or ceramic heater?

I don't prefer either, and really do not see a difference in the two unless you need to provide heat through the night, then a light would not be my choice. Both make it difficult to maintain humidity. I have seen both work well for people who can regulate the room's humidity as opposed to individual cages though.
