People are so busy blaming cats which do not prey on indigo snakes that they are forgetting that dogs are probably the worst predator out there

do indigo snakes eat chickens? is there anything that can be done to educate farmers snakes have no defense from dogs at all as u can see even large constrictors cant defend themselves.

do indigo snakes prefer snake prey over birds and mammals? maybe that would be aa goood thing to tell farmers and public which wmake them want to keep indigos near the farm i know in brazil farmers keep mussies round for that purpose mussies ignore birds

I know they eat chicken eggs. I caught one in the act when i was a child.

do they like lizards or mice or rats in the wild? i imagine these things will be eaten but they have such high metabolism compared to other snakes

only anothe rlong snake could satisfy one so it could go a long time without eating? also they cant streach their jaws wide like a rat or a coachwhip i thought so thatleaves rabbits and larger birds out?

It's all about encroachment of humans. The dogs are incidental to the humans moving into indigo territory. The videos you showed are pet dogs killing wild animals. The dogs are there because people are there.
