Mike,
She's definitely quite the female, incredible numbers she produces. Have you ever seen her ingest unfertilized ova? I have seen my female greens eat them on numerous occasions, but have not heard much about the yellows habits.

Kelly, I have not observed her eating ova, there was no ova this year, each year there is less, I don`t know if she ate them this year or there wasn`t any.

Hey Kelly Haller. I bred a Yellow Anaconda in around 1992 that had an entire litter of slugs and still born babies. I watched her as she picked up and ate the slugs. Then pushed the babies around a bit with her nose. Picked them up a couple times with her mouth and set them back down. I guess when she was sure they were not alive, she picked them up again and ate them. Fully formed but dead babies. She did not eat the entire litter, but she did eat all the slugs and about 5 of the babies. She left around 7 babies that she did not eat. At the time I did not know they did that or if that was unusual or anything at all about breeding them. I wish I had taken pictures and or video.

Thanks for the info Jeff. All of my female greens, and Jud's as well, have always eaten the ova and / or stillborn young. I just hadn't heard much about this behavior with respect to notaeus, but definitely expected it. Thanks for the verification.
