I requested the post be removed until a DNA test could prove out the father of the clutch. Nine to ten days between copulation and egg laying is highly irregular, so this testing will help explain what happened. Hopefully, the story will be reposted with the same happy ending, lol.

I think you should have the results done on the Maury Povich show. You are the father!

If I get booked on Maury Povich, it’s to prove I’M NOT THE FATHER...LOL!!!

Is there any other explanation? I don't see what the use of waiting for a dna test is. Maybe I didn't read your original post well enough, but seems to me if that snake was introduced to a different male, then that snake would most likely be the father. Did that female breed last year. If the answers to these questions are no, then why even do a dna test?

Remember this was a breeding loan. I got the female on April 23, 2011. According to her owner, the female did not breed last year. She was not knowingly with another male BUT there was a small footnote. This year, my male was her only mate. The nine to ten day period between fertilization and egg-laying is problematic for a few folks, including myself. An invitation to perform DNA testing was extended after someone read the initial post, so we’re having it done to exclude the small footnote. Email me for more detail.
