non feeder hatchlings

RSedgwick Aug 12, 2011 06:44 AM

I bought a pair of hatchling generic gray-bands at a show last weekend. I was assured they were feeding on live. I have been unable to get them to eat live, or washed and scented live. I tried scenting with FT skink and ft anole form last year. No luck so far. I have tried feeding from forceps and leaving them in a small hide over night. Any suggestions would be appreciated. How warm do I need to keep hatchlings to get them to feed? I have turned off the tape to all my racks as it stays warm in my basement this time of year. They have showed not interest in food at all. Holding a piece of anole or skink in front of them did nothing for them. I have been raising annulata and they can be tough but respond to anoles.

A couple steps need to be taken first. Do you know the vendor's name? Can you contact the vendor with this issue? Check the name on the receipt. If there is no contact number, check with the promoter. Who is the vendor (if you know)?
